Amy’s detailed curriculum for teaching people and their pups how to avoid the dangers of rattlesnakes through positive reinforcement training has been a popular course at Summit Dog Training for the past 8 years. You are learning directly from the source of our curriculum!
Amy's focus in training classes and private lessons is always supporting the human-animal bond, taking individual goals into account, and modifying training plans to fit everyone's needs. Amy currently has special interests in snake avoidance, cooperative care (she teaches veterinary students at Colorado State University), and meeting people where they are on their dog-life journey.
Amber Quann (KPA-CTP, CPDT-KSA, FDM)
Amber is Summit® Dog Training’s Founder and Head Trainer. She is fascinated by the bond that grows between dogs and their owners as they adventure together. Amber is a graduate and Certified Training Partner with the Karen Pryor Academy and a Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge & Skills Assessed through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT). Amber also has the TAGteach Level 1 certification and is an evaluator for the American Kennel Club's Canine Good Citizen program. She was voted #1 Dog Trainer in Colorado & #15 Dog Trainer in the USA for 2022. More recently, Summit Dog Training won NoCo’s Best Dog Training Business 2025.
