Group training classes for Reactive Dogs in Fort collins, CO

Join us for foundation learning about resolving reactive dog behavior in our Reactive Dog class series! Our Reactive Dog group classes are small groups (4 dogs maximum per class section) to support you and your dog as you work on resolving these behavior challenges together.

Your dog has been living with you for a minimum of 7 days. This gives you and your dog a chance to get to know each other a little bit so that you will be most successful at the start of your learning journey!
Your dog is up-to-date on veterinary-recommended vaccinations.
Your dog has no known history of bites directed towards other dogs or humans. If your dog has a bite history resulting in injury, we recommend you start with an private lesson Initial Consultation first to get a customized recommendation from our training team.

Enjoy a curated class with thoughtful set-ups specifically for our Reactive Dog students. Our team of trainers is here to set you and your dog up for the most success, in an environment that is thoughtfully constructed for the most positive learning experiences for your dog (and you too!).
Reactive Dog classes are offered at three levels:
Completing each class is a prerequisite for the next Reactive Dog level.
Reactive Dog 101
This class is for dogs who bark, growl or lunge when on-leash and in the presence of other dogs. Training is done in a safe, low-stress classroom environment to teach you and your dog the skills to manage and modify your dog's current reaction to the presence of other dogs. Class size is limited to four dogs. Week 1 is humans only, without dogs: this class will hold time for open discussion about your dog’s behaviors and begin the conversation about how we will be trying to help you modify these behaviors. Week 2 you join class with your dog for 10 minutes of private time in the room, rotating through all four dogs in class one at a time, while your classmates observe & you all learn from each other and let your dogs get comfortable with the space. Weeks 3-6, you will be in class with your dog for the full class time, with the other students and their dogs as well! Your tuition for the in-person class also includes access to our 5+ hour Reactivity in Dogs Online Course!

Reactive Dog 102

This class is for dogs and humans who have completed Reactive Dog 101 or equivalent private lessons with Summit. This class helps you and your dog Level Up your reactivity skills and continue to practice in a safe environment with added difficulty. Enrollment in Reactive Dog 102 class requires completion of Reactive Dog 101, a Private Lesson Trail Blazer package, or Instructor Approval. Drop-In a la Carte - $50/Class
Punch Card - $400 for 10 Classes
Reactive Dog 103
@ Various Locations
This class is for dogs and humans who have completed Reactive Dog 101 and some Reactive Dog 102 drop-in practices. Enrollment in Reactive Dog 103 class requires Instructor Recommendation. This class will facilitate continued practice in advanced, real-life environments for dogs that have already started their training journey with us. If you and your dog are just getting started, please check out our Reactive Dog 101 class or a Private Lesson Trail Blazer package first.
Drop-In a la Carte - $50/Class
Punch Card - $400 for 10 Classes
After completing each level of Reactive Dog, your trainer will make a recommendation for next steps with your dog. Students who are ready may transfer back to our general classes after completing a Reactive Dog class, or continue to progress through the Reactive Dog track.
