Adventuring with our dogs is one of the most therapeutic activities that we have at our disposal - and it is therapeutic both for ourselves and for our four-legged adventure buddies.

In Adventure Dogs, Summit Dog Training Head Trainer Amber breaks down the behaviors necessary to create safe, positive, and epic adventures with your dog by your side. Topics include: foundations of learning, safety skills for adventuring, essential gear, and approaches for building a good relationship with your dog. Friday’s people-only workshop will mix lecture and training games for getting off to a fun start! Saturday’s Group Training Hike will apply those foundation skills to teaching trail manners and safety behaviors. Sunday’s workshop will be focused on how to use Adventure Therapy to help your Reactive Dogs.

All instruction will be based on positive reinforcement for all learners and dog-friendly training methods for our four-legged adventure friends.

Part of the proceeds from this workshop will benefit PAWS in Crested Butte.
